Can you introduce yourself?
I'm somewhere between 20&30. Cause you don't ask girls about their
age, or do you? I am a woman. I hope most people can see that
(Saga

We first heard you at the album Paradise Lost
from a band called Symphony of Sorrow. We can hear that you've been singing
before. Tell us something about your musical background. I guess it separates
from the average Wp-musician?
I'm not sure about the "average Wp-musician" and his background,
but I have been singing since I was about 6years old.
Tell us about the Symphony of Sorrow project.
For those of you who missed out on this great CD I can tell you that it
sounds like nothing else I've ever heard from this genre.
Its creative and maybe not something that regular Wp-fans listen to. But,
however it leaves no one unmoved and many people say that this is the
best wp-album of the year. Will there be anything more from this constellation?
What kind of response have you been receiving so far?
SoS project?! Yes, it is true that it first was meant to be just a project.
But the response have been great so who knows? But nothing planned so
far anyway!
Symphony of Sorrow is an melancholic description
of reality. Tell us about the lyrics. How do you feel about the sad reality
that surrounds us?
I search and find less things that's positive everyday but on the other
hand I'm a born optimist so I think we will work it out, one way or the
other.
What is your goal with the music you making
today?
I have a big personal goal and it is to evolve as a singer and musician.
And by making these goals reality reaching more people with my music.
At "My tribute" you interpret Ian
Stuarts classical songs. What does he mean to you?
Skrewdriver was the first whitepower-band I ever heard and therefore they
touched me more then any other band from this scene. His words and lyrics
means alot to me, much more then the music.
To make this album shows of great courage. Cause
on this recording everyone will have an opinion, when everyone has their
own personal memories to the songs. Was it nervous to record it considering
that?
Yes definitely! When I was asked that was the first thing on my mind.
But I really wanted to make these tribute albums to Ian. I just hope people
will accept my versions and ofcourse like them!
Ian was very productive and made lots of recordings.
What made you pick these 29 songs?
We sat down and had a long conversation about which songs to pick. After
some hours we picked these songs. But there is at least 29 more that I
would like to record as well. Some of the missed favourites of mine will
be recorded for the compilation WPWW5 and some will be performed live.
Do you have any favourite song? Do you miss
any of your favourites on the CD?
I have several, it depends on how I feel. But "Wasted life"
I think is no.1 right now. I miss, as I said, alot of songs. For example
"After the fire" is just one example.
Will we hear more from you in the future? In
that case, what is your future plans on the music-front?
I think you will! I have for example taped a live gig on which I did alot
of Skrewdriver covers. Hope to have it out later on CD. The CD will be
named Saga "Live & Kicking". I will also do some more Skrewdriver
covers for the WPWW5 compilation as I said before with some of the songs
that I missed on "My Tribute". I also work on a solo album.
Then we will see(Saga smiles).
Do you play any instruments?
Not much. But I do write my own music on a guitar.
Who are your inspired by? Who's your rolemodels?
I have way to many rolemodels to mention here(Saga smiles).
Music seems to be a big part of your life. What
else do you do?
I'm working like everybody else.
Thanks for the interview and your super interprets
of my favourite songs! Any final words?
Yes maybe just a few words. I would like to thanks my record label Midgård(Pajen&Lena)
for always being there when I need them. I big hug to you. And another
big hug to those who buy my albums. I'm thinking of you always.
